In local concert news, it's been announced that Spiritualized is coming to First Avenue on September 10th. Excellent. The new album Songs in A&E is their best in years, and I've always wanted to see the Spaceman live. I'll also be catching their tour later in the month at ACL.
Bad timing, but while I'm in Austin, Mogwai will be back up here playing First Avenue on the 27th of September. If you want hearing damage, that's the gig for you.
